Following on from the success of Lencoblerone1, I had an idea to eliminate the platter subplinth, as with the motor's new suspension system, this level of isolation was not necessary. Most of the parts were transplanted, and this was the result:
A switch for the motor was encorporated in the support bar which tidied up the wiring.
It was uncomfortable to operate the deck with the point of the triangle digging somewhere in my chest, so I added a support for the arm & swung the deck around 60 degrees:
